SHOT ORANGE
When Andy Warhol discovered a photo print of Marilyn at a flea market in the 1960s, he did not yet know about the milestone in history of art ahead. He actually painted five colored Marilyns with different colored backgrounds: red, orange, light blue, sage blue, and turquoise. Shortly afterwards he experimented with serial alienation in serigraphy for the first time and created an icon of modernism.
