FOREST TRAIL
Walking trails round mountain’s bend
Seeking the wisdom her woods would lend
Bowing my head, under forest trees
Lifting my hands, giving thanks to thee
For life’s palette’s rich, with colors dark
A valley deep, carved through this heart
Devastated landscapes, open new light
For love is stronger, than death’s sharp knife
As night’s owl calls, the sun to set
The moon and stars, shine night’s duet
