Gruyères Castle has stood proudly atop a verdant hill on the threshold of Fribourg’s imposing Swiss Alpine foothills since the 13th century.
In 1938, the State of Fribourg bought the Castle and opened a museum. You are welcome to explore the castle on your own with the free handout guide or discover its history with a fascinating multimedia show.
