BULLI
A car with many lovers and many names. In the US it is a VW bus, a ‘vee-dub’, a minibus, hippie bus, or hippie van, ‘combie’, Microbus or a Transporter to aficionados. The early versions produced before 1967 used a split front windshield, so it was giving the nickname 'Splitty’. It was called Volksie Bus in South Africa, in Nigeria it was Danfo, in the UK known as a 'Campervan’, in France a 'camping-car’, and in Germany just ’Bulli’.
